No shocking result in a game in Plasencia where fourth ranked Marbella (15-8) outleveled bottom-ranked Jaguarzo Adepla (9-14) 112-79 on Saturday. Marbella dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Jaguarzo Adepla's 42. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Evan Maxwell (203, college: Dowling) who helped to win the game recording 27 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and Senegalese power forward Pape Sow (205-93) who added 14 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Five Marbella players scored in double figures. Marbella's coach Francis Tome felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward David Atkinson (203-91, college: Salem Intern.) responded with 30 points and Pablo Gracia (197-96) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Marbella moved-up to third place in Group D-Clasif, which they share with Medacbasket. Jaguarzo Adepla lost fifth consecutive game. Jaguarzo Adepla at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Marbella will face Huelva (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Jaguarzo Adepla will play against the league's second-placed Cazorla and hope to win that game.
