South Adelaide Panthers used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Mt. Barker 89-83 on Saturday night. South Adelaide Panthers outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 53-42 including a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Eastern Mavericks were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Ivory Young (190-95, college: Utah Valley) who scored 31 points and 6 rebounds. Jordan Robertson chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Will Wise (203-91, college: UMBC) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tom Cioffi (197-87) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
