Regular Season Round 27: Saint-Quentin - Gries/Oberhoffen 73-57

Top ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (23-3) recorded its third loss on the court of fourth ranked Saint-Quentin on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Saint-Quentin 73-57. It ended at the same time the 16-game winning streak of Gries/Oberhoffen. Saint-Quentin forced 19 Gries/Oberhoffen turnovers. The best player for the winners was Canadian-British power forward Maurice Walker (208-91, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American guard BA Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 14 points. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach Jerome Navier used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Spanish guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) added 15 points respectively. Saint-Quentin maintains fourth place with 19-8 record. Gries/Oberhoffen at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Saint-Quentin are looking forward to face ALS Basket (#9) in Andrezieux in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gries/Oberhoffen will play at home against Orchesien BC (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
