But Sutherland Sharks were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Crows Nest 74-63 on Saturday night. Norths Soul Sports Bears forced 19 Sutherland Sharks turnovers and outrebounded them 57-37 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sutherland Sharks were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was James Maccann who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Forward Michael Golding (198, college: Adrian) chipped in 7 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Themistocles Pantzouris who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and Clayton Carfino added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
