Regular Season Round 27: Lugo - Vicenza 82-85

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Vicenza (17-10) edged on the road 14th ranked Lugo (8-19) 85-82 on Saturday. Vicenza dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lugo's 30. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (203-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Montenegrin Lazar Kekovic (205-99) helped adding 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Luca Valentini (189-97) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Vicenza and five Lugo players scored in double figures. Vicenza moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Faenza and Lecco. Lugo lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Vicenza will face Volpino (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lugo will play against Tessilform Bernareggio and hope to win that game.
