Ninth-ranked Mondeville (5-14) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Tarbes (11-8) on Saturday. The visitors from Tarbes managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected easier game. Tarbes dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mondeville's 36. It was a great evening for Spanish point guard Ana Suarez (170-87, agency: ProDep Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Mondeville players scored in double figures. Tarbes moved-up to fifth place. Mondeville lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Hainaut. Tarbes will meet at home Nantes Reze (#8) in the next round. Mondeville will play against Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
