No shocking result in a game in Tallinn where third ranked Rapla (14-9) smashed bottom-ranked Noorteliiga (0-14) 103-80 on Saturday. Rapla dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Noorteliiga's 42. Rapla had a 31-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, agency: 011 Sports) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Dominique Hawkins (183-94, college: Kentucky) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Center Karl Karpin (206-0) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Leemet Loik (198-1) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rapla maintains third position with 14-9 record having eight points less than leader Kalev/Cramo. Loser Noorteliiga still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Rapla will face league's leader Kalev/Cramo in Tallinn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
