Regular Season Round 3: Stirling S. - Willetton T. 120-111

Date: March 25, 2018
There was no surprise in Perth where Tigers (0-2) were defeated by Stirling S. (3-0) 120-111 on Sunday. Stirling S. dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers' 56. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Tigers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) chipped in 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) who recorded 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Senegalese power forward Badou Diagne (205-93, college: Co.Carolina) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Stirling S. will face Lightning (#7) in North Lake in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tigers will play at home against Slammers (#12) and hope to get finally their first victory.
