The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Kagawa FA's (17-27) road loss to fourth ranked Dragonflies (23-23) 73-77 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Dragonflies especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dragonflies made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) who scored 13 points. American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Dragonflies' coach Jamie Andrisevic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) produced 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Dragonflies maintains fourth place with 23-23 record. Kagawa FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 27 games lost. Dragonflies will face Bambitious Nara (#6) on the road in the next round. Kagawa FA will play against the league's leader Fukuoka Rizing and hope to win that game.
