An interesting game for Diamond Dolphins (24-22) which hosted in Nagoya 3rd placed Osaka Evessa (15-31). Second ranked Diamond Dolphins managed to get a 6-point victory 77-71. Diamond Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Toshihiro Nakatsuka (187-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) contributed with 7 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Diamond Dolphins' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Diamond Dolphins have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 24-22 record having fourteen points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Osaka Evessa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 31 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osaka Evessa will play at home against the league's leader Ryukyu GK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
