Regular Season Round 28: Betanzos - Obradoiro II 81-75

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Betanzos (14-12) won against at home 14th ranked Obradoiro II (8-18) 81-75 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Obradoiro II was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (204-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-89) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side Rafael Garcia responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Rodrigo Gomez scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Betanzos moved-up to fifth place in Group A-B, which they share with Carbajosa. Obradoiro II lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Betanzos will face Venta de Banos (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Obradoiro II will play against the league's leader Marin and hope to win that game.
