There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Segle XXI (7-17) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Oviedo (2-22) 81-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Oviedo. Segle XXI was better in second period 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Oviedo outrebounded Segle XXI 47-28 including a 41-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Segle XXI was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Four Segle XXI players scored in double figures. Segle XXI's coach Ivan Torinos tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oviedo maintains fourteenth position in Group A with 2-22 record. Loser Segle XXI keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Oviedo will face higher ranked Joventut LC (#5) in Barcelona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
