There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Eurobasket Roma (11-15) outleveled at home 11th ranked Cagliari Academy (12-14) 95-68 on Sunday. Eurobasket Roma looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Cagliari Academy's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Michael Deloach (184-86, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Five Eurobasket Roma players scored in double figures. Eurobasket Roma's coach Andrea Turchetto felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Marcus Keene (180-95, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) scored 14 points.
