There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Kleb Ferrara (14-12) smashed at home 6th ranked Tezenis Verona (15-11) 83-60 on Sunday. Kleb Ferrara looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: G.Washington) chipped in 11 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Four Kleb Ferrara players scored in double figures. American point guard Phil Greene-IV (187-92, college: St.John's) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Mattia Udom (200-93) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Tezenis Verona's coach Luca Dalmonte gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kleb Ferrara moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Tezenis Verona keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Kleb Ferrara will face Roseto Sharks (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
