The game between fourth ranked Aztks (7-3) and 6th ranked Mexcaltecas (3-7) in on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Aztks outscored guests from Tepic 81-46. Aztks dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mexcaltecas' 32. Cuban center Klavdia Calvo (186-83) notched 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Ana Bernal supported her with 14 points and 4 assists. Four Aztks players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by the former international center Jazmin Valenzuela (187-89) did not help to save the game for Mexcaltecas. Yadira Perea Luz added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aztks moved-up to third place, which they share with Gamos. Loser Mexcaltecas keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Aztks will meet Gamos (#4) in the next round. Mexcaltecas will play against the league's leader Lobas in Ciudad de Mexico and hope to secure a win.
