Regular Season Round 27: Palestrina - Patti 122-68

There was no surprise in Roma where 15th ranked Patti (5-22) was outplayed by first ranked Palestrina (22-4) 122-68 on Sunday. Palestrina dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Patti's 54. They outrebounded Patti 50-32 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Palestrina looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Patti's players. It was a great evening for guard Andrea Barsanti (188-86, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) helped adding 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Alberto Mazzullo (198-98) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Giorgio Busco (187-95) scored 11 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Palestrina maintains first place in B with 22-4 record. Loser Patti keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Palestrina's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Roma Tiber.
