Regular Season Round 27: Scauri - Roma Luiss 79-70

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Scauri (12-15) won against at home higher ranked Roma Luiss (17-10) 79-70 on Sunday. It was a great evening for forward Davide Serino (199-81) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Andrea Longobardi (199-94) helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was forward Dario Cefarelli (199-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) with 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Raffaele Martone (208-90) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Scauri moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Padova. Loser Roma Luiss dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Scauri will face higher ranked Capo d'Orlando (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma Luiss will play against Valmontone (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
