Regular Season Round 25: Basket Gdynia - CCC Polkowice 67-96

The game in Gdynia supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked CCC Polkowice (17-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Basket Gdynia (12-12). CCC Polkowice smashed Basket Gdynia 96-67 on Sunday. CCC Polkowice looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. British-Nigerian forward Temi Fagbenle (193-92, college: USC) stepped up and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. At the losing side Latvian center Kristine Vitola (193-91, college: UTEP) responded with 16 points and American-Lithuanian forward Sofija Aleksandravicius (192-91, college: Davidson, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CCC Polkowice moved-up to third place, which they share with Sleza Wroclaw. Loser Basket Gdynia keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. CCC Polkowice will meet at home Enea AZS P. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Gdynia will have a break next round.
