Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sokol Lancut (23-8) beat at home 12th ranked Kotwica (13-19) 76-62 on Monday. Kotwica was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Marek Zywert (192-96) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and power forward Rafal Kulikowski (205-85, agency: Promotex) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) with 11 points and 5 assists and Szymon Rduch (196-89, agency: Promotex) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Kotwica's coach Pawel Blechacz tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sokol Lancut have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 23-8 record having five points less than leader Spojnia. Loser Kotwica dropped to the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Sokol Lancut will face Polfarmex (#5) in Kutno in the next round.
