Second Stage Round 9: Tadamon - Moutahed 93-116

The game between Top Four teams took place in Zouk. 4th placed host Tadamon (5-20) was smashed by first ranked Al Moutahed (13-12) 116-93. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tadamon. Al Moutahed shot the lights out from three nailing 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Hakim Warrick (206-82, college: Syracuse) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international swingman Omar El-Ayoubi (196-91) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Garrius Holloman (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) answered with 30 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Tadamon. Five Al Moutahed and four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Tadamon's coach Miodrag Perisic gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Al Moutahed maintains first place in Group B with 13-12 record. Tadamon at the other side keeps the fourth position with 20 games lost. Al Moutahed's next round opponent will be Louaize (#3) in Zouk, which may be the game of the day. Tadamon will play on the road against Byblos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
