We should mention about the upset which took place in Santiago del Estero, where higher ranked BHY Tiro Federal (19-17) lost to fourteenth ranked Independiente (13-24) in a road game 59-70 on Monday. Alejandro Spalla (197-89) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Federico Mansilla (191-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Independiente players scored in double figures. Naturalized Spanish swingman Maximiliano Martin (189-90) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Sebastian Acevedo (198-90) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Independiente maintains fourteenth position in North with 13-24 record. Loser BHY Tiro Federal dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost. Independiente will face higher ranked Obera TC (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BHY Tiro Federal will play against Mitre Tuc. and hope to win that game.
