Leader Salon Vilpas delivered the thirtieth victory on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked UU-Korihait (7-30) 110-73. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 110-73. Salon Vilpas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by UU-Korihait's players. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Salon Vilpas' coach Joonas Iisalo felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Kevin Bracy-Davis (201, college: Davis & Elkins) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St.) scored 17 points. Five Salon Vilpas and four UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. Salon Vilpas maintains first place with 30-8 record. UU-Korihait lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 30 games lost. Salon Vilpas will meet BC Nokia (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UU-Korihait will play against the league's second-placed Kauhajoki (#2) and hope to secure a win.
