Leader Salon Vilpas delivered the thirtieth victory on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked UU-Korihait (7-30) 110-73. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 110-73. Salon Vilpas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by UU-Korihait's players. The game was dominated by American players. Salon Vilpas' coach Joonas Iisalo felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Kevin Bracy-Davis (201, college: Davis & Elkins) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St.) scored 17 points. Five Salon Vilpas and four UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. Salon Vilpas maintains first place with 30-8 record. UU-Korihait lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 30 games lost. Salon Vilpas will meet BC Nokia (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UU-Korihait will play against the league's second-placed Kauhajoki (#2) and hope to secure a win.
