Regular Season Round 24: Maccabi H/H - Maccabi K/G 91-95

National League top team - Maccabi K/G (18-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat twelfth ranked Hasharon (8-16) in Hod Hasharon 95-91. Maccabi K/G made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American-Azerbaijani forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Maccabi K/G players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) with 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) produced a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Maccabi K/G have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-6 record. Hasharon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Maccabi K/G will play against bottom-ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (#14) in Tarshicha in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hasharon will play on the road against Maccabi Raanana and hopes to get back on the winning track.
