Important game to mention about took place in Aomori. Fifth ranked Aomori Watts (12-35) saved a 1-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Sendai 89ers (17-30) 94-93 on Wednesday evening. Aomori Watts players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the other American import swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Aomori Watts maintains fifth position with 12-35 record, which they share with Bambitious Nara. Sendai 89ers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 30 games lost. Aomori Watts will play against Shinshu BW (#5) in Nagano in the next round. Sendai 89ers will play at home against Cyberdyne IR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
