Bashkimi held off visiting Akademik Plovdiv to take a 13-point lead before the return leg. The game was mostly controlled by Bashkimi. Academik Plovdiv managed to win fourth quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bashkimi dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Academik Plovdiv's 24 and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Bashkimi looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aaron Moss (185-91, college: Cabrini) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. His fellow American import forward Eric Stutz (203-92, college: E.Kentucky) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Vasil Bachev (195-92, college: Cuesta JC) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Martin Durchev (203-87) added 10 points and 9 assists in the effort for Academik Plovdiv. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Academik Plovdiv's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
