Regular Season Round 30: Osaka Evessa - Ryukyu GK 53-72

There was no surprise when 3rd ranked Osaka Evessa (15-32) was outplayed at home by first ranked Ryukyu GK (36-11) 72-53 on Wednesday. Forward Naoki Tashiro (188-93) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Osaka Evessa's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ryukyu GK maintains first position with 36-11 record. Osaka Evessa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 32 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osaka Evessa will play against Niigata Albirex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
