Regular Season Round 48: Fukuoka Rizing - Kagawa FA 79-74

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (38-9) beat at home 5th ranked Kagawa FA (17-28) 79-74 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for guard Daisuke Kobayashi (188-87) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 4 assists. American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Kagawa FA. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 38-9 record. Kagawa FA lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 28 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's leader Akita Happinets at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kagawa FA will play against the league's second-placed Kumamoto V. (#2) and hope to win that game.
