There was no surprise when 12th ranked Polpharma (15-14) was outleveled by sixth ranked Rosa (17-11) in Radom 83-62 on Wednesday. Rosa made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Polpharma turnovers. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard AJ English (192-92, college: Iona) contributed with 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. Rosa's coach Wojciech Kaminski felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian Aleksandar Radukic (206-91, agency: 011 Sports) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Thomas Davis (198-91, college: SW Oklahoma St.) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Polpharma. Rosa have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 17-11 record. Loser Polpharma dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. Rosa will face PGE Turow (#9) in Zgorzelec in the next round. Polpharma will play on the road against Start in Lublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
