Regular Season Round 4: Mandurah M. - Rockingham CF 97-73

Date: March 29, 2018
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Flames (1-1) in Mandurah on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by Magic (3-0) 97-73. Magic forced 29 Flames turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Flames' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Casey Mihovilovich (173-82) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Magic players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Chelsea Armstrong (173-90) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jacinta Bourne (168-91) scored 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Magic have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Flames at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with 11 other teams. Magic is looking forward to face Tigers (#3) in Willetton in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Flames will play on the road against Hawks in Floreat and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
