Sirenos cruised past Fortuna in the opener. The game without a history. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas forced 23 Fortuna turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international point guard Rasa Knyzaite (172-98) nailed 14 points for the winning side and Ukrainian forward Olena Ogorodnikova (187-81) accounted for 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas players scored in double figures. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas' coach Mantas Sernius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Roberta Mizgeryte (188-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Agne Cerneckyte (173-96) added 15 points respectively for Fortuna in the defeat.
