The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Spojnia (28-3) on the court of sixth ranked GKS Tychy on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by GKS Tychy 100-91. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Spojnia. GKS Tychy looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Michal Jankowski (191-87) stepped up and scored 29 points and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) with 18 points and 6 assists and forward Hubert Pabian (201-89, agency: Promotex) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five GKS Tychy and four Spojnia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. GKS Tychy have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 20-11 record. Spojnia at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. GKS Tychy are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Notec Inowr. (#17) in Inowroclaw in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Spojnia will play at home against the league's second-placed Polonia Leszno (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
