Second Stage Round 4: Grodno-93 - COR-Borisfen 111-78

An interesting game for Grodno-93 (35-4) which hosted in Grodno 3rd ranked COR-Borisfen (30-5). First ranked Grodno-93 had an easy win 111-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of COR-Borisfen. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. COR-Borisfen was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Grodno-93 forced 22 COR-Borisfen turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by COR-Borisfen's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Kiryl Sitnik (190-89) who added 28 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) during the contest. Five Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Grodno-93's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Justin Coleman (203-94, college: Charleston) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Russian Benjamin-Pavel Dudu (200-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Grodno-93 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 35-4 record. COR-Borisfen at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Grodno-93 will play against league's second-placed Tsmoki-Minsk on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. COR-Borisfen will play against Impuls BGUIR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
