Regular Season Round 28: Gries/Oberhoffen - Orchies 92-78

NM1 top team - Gries/Oberhoffen (24-3) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Orchesien BC (11-16) in Bischwiller 92-78. Gries/Oberhoffen made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Oumarou Sylla (185-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Gries/Oberhoffen's coach Ludovic Pouillart used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belgian forward Thomas De Thaey (203-91, college: N.Carolina St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Robert Turner (190-93, college: Texas Tech) added 20 points in the effort for Orchesien BC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gries/Oberhoffen maintains first position with 24-3 record. Orchesien BC lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Gries/Oberhoffen are looking forward to face ALS Basket (#10) in Andrezieux in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Orchesien BC will play on the road against CFBB in Paris and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
