Very predictable result when twelfth ranked Brissac-Aubance (13-15) won against on the road 17th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (9-19) 77-72 on Friday. The winners were led by naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) who scored that evening 18 points and 5 rebounds and American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists by the former international point guard Xane dAlmeida (181-83) did not help to save the game for Lourdes-Tarbes. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points for lost side. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brissac-Aubance moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ALS Basket and Boulogne. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes dropped to the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with SAP Vaucluse. Brissac-Aubance will meet at home higher ranked UB Chartres (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Vendee Challans (#6) and hope to secure a win.
