Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Wilki Morskie (17-13) defeated 14th ranked GTK (10-19) in Gliwice 89-84 on Saturday. Wilki Morskie made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. GTK was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. The former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American guard Jonathan Williams (190-95, college: Toledo) replied with 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Quinton Hooker (183, college: N.Dakota) added 16 points and 9 assists in the effort for GTK. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie maintains seventh position with 17-13 record. GTK lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Wilki Morskie will face league's leader Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
