Regular Season Round 21: Skrljevo - Zabok 83-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked KK Zabok's (10-10) road loss to sixth ranked KK Skrljevo (12-8) 76-83. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KK Zabok won third quarter 25-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when KK Skrljevo won last quarter 24-19. KK Skrljevo outrebounded KK Zabok 35-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. KK Zabok was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Jasmin Perkovic (205-80) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) chipped in 22 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Petar Maric (196-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 23 points and point guard Borna Kapusta (182-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zabok's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Skrljevo moved-up to fifth place. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. KK Skrljevo will play against bottom-ranked Kastela (#13) in Kastela Sucurac in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Zabok will play at home against Jazine (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
