The game between closely ranked teams ended with Tokyo Cinq R.'s (0-4) home loss to Saitama Broncos (2-2) 83-87 on Saturday. American center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St., agency: HMS) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Saitama Broncos will face Tokyo HT on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against Kagoshima in Renova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
