Freiburg upset Weiterstadt on the road to sweep the series. The guests were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 20 after three quarters before a 26-15 last quarter charge of Weiterstadt cut the lead to 63-54 at the end of the game. Eisvogel Freiburg dominated on the defensive end, holding Weiterstadt to just 4 points in third quarter. American guard Kelly Hughes (180, college: Boston Coll.) notched 12 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Kirsten Gaffney (185) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach Pierre Hohn allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by Canadian power forward Kaylee Kilpatrick (193-93, college: New Hampshire) did not help to save the game for Weiterstadt. Power forward Aline Stiller (184-94) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts.
