Regular Season Round 49: Tokyo Z - Toyotsu FE 89-79

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Toyotsu FE (29-19) on the court of sixth ranked Tokyo Z on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Tokyo Z 89-79. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Kashiwagura Kashiwagura (180-95) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Cinmeon Bowers (201-93, college: Auburn) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Tokyo Z players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 13 points and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokyo Z maintains sixth place with 19-29 record. Toyotsu FE at the other side still keeps top position with 19 games lost. Tokyo Z are again looking forward to face league's leader Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round.
