Regular Season Round 23: Oostende - Kangoeroes 81-86

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Oostende (21-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Kangoeroes (10-13) 86-81. Kangoeroes shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. It was a great evening for American point guard Ashton Gibbs (188-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points. His fellow American import forward Kwan Cheatham-Jr (208-95, college: Akron) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian-Croatian Marko Jagodic-Kuridza (205-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Jean-Marc Mwema (195-89, agency: Court Side) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Oostende's coach Dario Gjergja tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kangoeroes have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Limburg United. Defending champion Oostende still keeps top position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
