The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tsmoki-Minsk smashed 4th ranked Gomel-Sozh at home 82-49. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk outrebounded Gomel-Sozh 38-27 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Russian Mariya Cheremisina (174-92) scored 15 points to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Yulya Haponava (185-94) with 14 points and guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Olimpia. Gomel-Sozh lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 20 games lost. Gomel-Sozh will play next round against strong Olimpia trying to get back on the winning streak. Tsmoki-Minsk will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Gorizont. It will be extra interesting game as Gorizont is their local rival from Minsk.
