Regular Season Round 25: Chalon - Cholet 84-66

There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Cholet Basket (10-15) lost on the road to sixteenth ranked Chalon/Saor (10-15) 84-66 on Saturday. Chalon/Saor made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Cameroonian Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach Jean-Denys Choulet used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) added 14 points in the effort for Cholet Basket. Defending champion moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Cholet and Chalons-Reims. Cholet Basket lost fourth consecutive game. Chalon/Saor will face league's leader SIG Strasbourg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
