Regular Season Round 27: GSA Udine - Bergamo 81-83

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Bergamo (8-19) edged on the road higher ranked GSA Udine (16-11) 83-81 on Saturday. Bergamo shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack, agency: Basket Management Solutions) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 8 assists. Forward Giovanni Fattori (203-85, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Albanian Franko Bushati (189-85, agency: Two Points) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively. GSA Udine's coach Lino Lardo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Bergamo maintains fourteenth place in A2 with 8-19 record. Loser GSA Udine keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Bergamo will face higher ranked Kleb Ferrara (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GSA Udine will play against Montegrano where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
