The game in Melilla was also worth to mention about. Third ranked CB Prat (23-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (18-12). CB Prat managed to secure a 7-point victory 69-62. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Melilla Baloncesto won second period 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when CB Prat won last quarter 15-9. The best player for the winners was Romanian center Emanuel Cate (206-97) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Marc Blanch (195-82) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Samb (210-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and center Fran Guerra (214-92) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CB Prat moved-up to second place, which they share with Manresa. Melilla Baloncesto at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. CB Prat's next round opponent will be Castello (#7) in Castellon where they are favorite. Melilla Baloncesto will play on the road against Lleida Basquet and hope to win that game.
