Regular Season Round 30: Manresa - Oviedo 70-68

Fourth-ranked Oviedo CB (19-11) was very close to win a game against second ranked La ICL Manresa (23-7) on Sunday. La ICL Manresa managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-12. But Oviedo CB won second period 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Nacho Martin (202-83) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Fabio Santana (188-92) replied with 9 points and 5 assists and Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (205-95) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Oviedo CB. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-7 record behind leader Breogan, which they share with Prat. Oviedo CB at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. La ICL Manresa is looking forward to face Ourense (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oviedo CB will play against Barca II (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
