Regular Season Round 27: Agustinos-Leclerc - Granada 82-92

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (10-17) lost to second ranked CB Granada (21-6) in Leon 82-92. It looked good early as Agustinos-Leclerc took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CB Granada had a 24-18 second period charge getting the lead and Agustinos-Leclerc was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-92. CB Granada dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Agustinos-Leclerc's 34 and made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Agustinos-Leclerc was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) helped adding 14 points. CB Granada's coach Pablo Pin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Slovenian forward Andraz Kavas (208-92, college: Harding, agency: Two Points) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Alvaro Sanz (190-98, agency: Duran International) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Five CB Granada and four Agustinos-Leclerc players scored in double figures. CB Granada have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with La Roda. Agustinos-Leclerc at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Cambados and Plasencia. CB Granada will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#4) in Avila in the next round. Agustinos-Leclerc will play on the road against Moron (#8) in Morón de la Frontera and hopes to get back on the winning track.
