Regular Season Round 50: Kagawa FA - Kumamoto V. 77-94

Rather predictable result in Takamatsu where second ranked Kumamoto V. (36-13) beat 5th ranked Kagawa FA (17-30) 94-77 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Mizuki Abe (165-93) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Kagawa FA's coach Kohei Etoh rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kumamoto V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 36-13 record having just six point less than leader Akita NH. Kagawa FA lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 30 games lost. Kumamoto V. will face Tokyo Z (#6) on the road in the next round.
