Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Albino (9-16) won against 14th ranked Carugate (6-20) in Corugate 63-57 on Monday. It was a very good performance for British forward Shequila Joseph (190-95, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Albino's coach Giuliano Stibiel used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Cecilia Albano (183-96) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Laura Zelnyte (190-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Carugate. Albino maintains tenth place in A2 with 9-16 record. Loser Carugate dropped to the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Albino will face San Salvatore (#11) at home in the next round. Carugate will play against Milano (#7) and hope to win that game.
