Serie A2 top team - Empoli (21-2) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Cagliari V. (3-20) 71-47. Empoli dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari V.'s 32. Empoli forced 19 Cagliari V. turnovers and outrebounded them 44-21 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian forward Gabriele Narviciute (190-90) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 14 rebounds.
