Top ranked San Lorenzo (21-4) recorded its fourth loss in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Obras Basket (16-13) 89-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of San Lorenzo. It was a great shooting night for Obras Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. American forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina, agency: Duran International) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Dominican Victor Liz (193-86, agency: Basket Management Solutions) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Obras Basket players scored in double figures. International point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96, agency: Interperformances) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. San Lorenzo's coach Gonzalo Garcia rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Obras Basket moved-up to sixth place. Defending champion San Lorenzo still keeps top position with four games lost. Obras Basket are looking forward to face Penarol (#19) in Mar del Plata in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Lorenzo will play on the road against the league's second-placed San Martin Corrientes (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
